Session A — The MINERVA Platform: hosting systems biology diagrams for browsing and computational workflows

Pangea (main room)

The workshop will introduce the MINERVA Platform, a standalone webserver for hosting systems biology diagrams. You will learn how to upload and manage content in MINERVA and connect to it using dedicated API and a built-in MCP server, to support your reproducible workflows and LLM integration.

Session B — Formalizing systems biology diagrams with SBGN

Room 2.24

Here you will get a brief introduction of the Systems Biology Graphical Notation standard and have a hands-on session on how to formalize biological knowledge encoded in scientific publications as systems biology diagrams. No prior knowledge on these topics is needed; we will read texts in English and perform the formalization of the diagrams by hand on sheets of paper. From this basic introduction, a curator can choose their preferred editor to build their maps.
